Two Saturdays ago, when AFR Weekend's flagship interview "Lunch with the AFR" broke bread with outgoing Asciano chief executive John Mullen, we derived nothing but admiration for the logistical Brit who outed himself (entirely at his own expense) as a wine aficianado, ordering a bottle of the 2012 Antinori Tignanello ($295) at Sydney restaurant Beppi's.
It all rang subconscious bells at the time and, finally, we've got to the bottom of it: upon the Antinori family's vineyard is a villa, owned by … wait for it … Qube chairman Chris Corrigan!
