After a sustained two-year slump, there are signs that demand for off-the-plan properties is returning, prompting some experts to declare that the worst is over for the sector.

Melbourne-based developer Lechte Corporation said 85 per cent of its eight-storey, 186-apartment development The Marker in West Melbourne had been sold before construction.
