Melbourne recorded its strongest auction week in two years with more than three-quarters of homes changing hands as the combined capital city clearance rate rose for a fourth straight week.
Cotality data showed the preliminary national auction clearance rate was 74.4 per cent of 1574 auctions, the second-highest this year and above the 72.2 per cent reported a week ago.
