More height, floor space offered to NSW affordable housing developers
Developers in NSW will have access to bonus floor space, fast-tracked development approval and other lucrative perks, including the right to exceed a local area’s height limit by 30 per cent, under a state government plan to turbocharge the supply of affordable homes.
In an address to the Western Sydney Leadership Dialogue’s Lachlan Macquarie Lecture and Pemulwuy Prize lunch, Premier Chris Minns will unveil a suite of generous incentives to encourage developers to set aside at least 15 per cent of new projects for affordable housing.
