Local developer SIG Group has exchanged contracts to purchase 162 hectares of farmland from a local family in Melbourne’s west earmarked for a future housing estate, in the first significant land banking deal of the year.
The site in Tarneit, which can support about 2300 housing lots, is adjacent to another 100 hectares of farmland where Western United Football Club has begun building a new football stadium.
