The priciest home ever sold on Australia’s east coast, Tamarama’s $45 million Lang Syne, is in the process of becoming a very expensive block of land, now its date with the wrecking ball has arrived.

On Thursday afternoon, the iconic yet humble headland home was in the process of being demolished a century after it was built, in what residents have dubbed “the end of an era”.
