Bellevue Hill pair spend $45m to buy neighbour’s home

The commandment “love thy neighbour” takes on a whole new meaning in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, where over-the-fence acquaintances can be the source of untold wealth – at least if you live in one of Australia’s most expensive suburbs, Bellevue Hill.

Last month, low-key Bellevue Hill residents Beijing-born Yi Dong, 50, and an 82-year-old relative, Moquan Dong, who own a grand home on blue-chip Victoria Road, lodged a purchaser’s caveat on the house next door.
