Auction clearance rates nationwide have risen to their highest level in four weeks as prospects improve for an interest rate cut this month, boosting buyer confidence.
The preliminary clearance rate nationally was up 5.9 percentage points to 70.1 per cent for the first week of May, according to data from Cotality, formerly CoreLogic.
