MELBOURNE COUNCIL THROWN OUT

The VICTORIAN Premier, Mr Kennett, has sacked the Melbourne City Council and redrawn its boundaries to include the Southbank precinct, the proposed casino and other major city assets.
Mr Kennett and his Minister for Local Government, Mr Hallam, announced the dismissal and restructure yesterday, taking Melbourne's major precincts, including Docklands, under the control of one council.
