Lifestyle Communities sues Stockland to protect its name
Lifestyle Communities, one of the oldest developers of affordably priced housing for downsizers, has accused the biggest player, Stockland, of deceptive and misleading conduct and wants the Federal Court to order it to stop using the words that form its name.
Stockland, which moved into the land lease communities business in 2019 – 22 years after ASX-listed Lifestyle Communities started trading – was unfairly using a trademarked name and confusing customers, Lifestyle Communities managing director James Kelly said.
