At the age of 90, Australia’s apartment king, Harry Triguboff, has overseen one of the biggest expansion periods of his Meriton Suites serviced apartment business in two decades with new hotels opening for the first time in Canberra and Melbourne alongside a new hotel in Liverpool, west of Sydney, within five weeks.

The $400 million invested in building the three new hotels will take Meriton Suites to 6204 apartment suites and 23 properties, cementing Mr Triguboff as the country’s biggest hotel owner-operator in addition to being the nation’s largest privately owned apartment developer.
