Gurner-Roberts merger decision likely by month’s end

Rich Listers Andrew Roberts and Tim Gurner are in talks that could decide this month to merge their privately owned construction and development businesses into one company that, like ASX-listed firms Mirvac and Lendlease, can sell, design, procure and build in-house.

A combination of Roberts Co, the commercial builder Mr Roberts co-founded in 2016 and of which he took full ownership in 2021, with Mr Gurner’s eponymous residential developer and aspiring fund manager could effectively tap the fast-growing build-to-rent market, industry sources said.
