Adgemis pays out workers in hope of reviving collapsed pubs empire

Former KPMG deal maker turned publican Jon Adgemis has transferred the money he owes to Public Hospitality staff for superannuation as the businessman tries to rebuild his collapsed hotel empire.

Adgemis’ JAGA Investments on Tuesday paid the remaining $500,000 of a $600,000 payment needed under a deal agreed with administrators of a portfolio of pubs that the former banker once controlled. Lenders put his business into administration, and Adgemis is hoping the payment will help save as many of the venues in Public Hospitality from sale.
