Fairfax-Ipsos poll: Voters want cuts to power prices and carbon emissions

Household power bills are the most significant concern for voters when it comes to energy policy but reducing carbon emissions comes a close second, indicating it should not be ignored, the latest Fairfax/Ipsos poll reveals.

With Labor to release an energy policy this week that will include an emissions reduction component, the poll shows almost half of voters – 47 per cent – believe reducing household bills should be "the main priority" of energy policy.
