Tony Mokbel arrived at a Melbourne court on Friday in a dark-blue armoured police vehicle and left in a black Mercedes-Benz.
One of Australia’s most notorious gangland figures, Mokbel was released on bail after 18 years in prison after the Court of Appeal ruled he had a strong case to argue that his drug trafficking conviction should be quashed because his lawyer all those years ago was a police informant.
