Labor’s super fund disclosure rollback under fire

A leading consumer advocacy group says superannuation funds should be required to provide more detail about political donations, as opposition and crossbench MPs lash the Albanese government over a proposed watering down of disclosure rules for the $3 trillion pensions sector.

The Coalition has launched a long-shot attempt to disallow the floated changes, which critics say would reduce the amount of information funds would be required to provide to members at annual meetings, including around political donations.
