Richard Goyder, one of Western Australia’s most prominent business leaders, is leaving his home town “indefinitely”, joining a growing list of executives packing their bags for the east coast following Premier Mark McGowan’s sensational decision not to open his state up to the world as planned on February 5.
A dejected Mr Goyder, chairman of Qantas, AFL and Perth-based Woodside, told The Australian Financial Review the Premier’s decision was “unnecessary” and he would be leaving his home town “indefinitely”.
