Readers back production tax credits, wary of immigration cuts

A majority of The Australian Financial Review’s readers support the Albanese government’s move to provide $27.8 billion in production tax credits for green hydrogen and critical minerals, but its plan to reduce permanent migration received a more divided response.

When asked if they supported Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s production tax credits, 51 per cent of readers surveyed said the policy would help Australia become a green energy superpower.
