Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says a second stand-alone quarantine facility will allow the state government to scrap hotel quarantine for returning travellers.
As the Palaszczuk government announced it had signed a memorandum of understanding with the federal government to build a 1000-bed quarantine centre near Brisbane Airport, Ms Palaszczuk said she would continue to push for a second facility near Toowoomba, west of Brisbane.
