NSW Liberals elect Ward deputy leader after historic rule change

NSW Liberal MPs have elected former roads minister Natalie Ward as deputy opposition leader after more than six weeks of leadership uncertainty following the Coalition’s March election loss.
The lawyer and mother of two was elected in a party-room meeting on Monday, where members voted to change the party rules to allow upper house MPs to take leadership roles.
