The NSW Liberals are at odds on gender impact assessments of government programs, with the shadow treasurer labelling them “nonsense” but his boss claiming that removing them is not on his radar.
Damien Tudehope’s remarks on Thursday come as Opposition Leader Mark Speakman sought in his budget reply speech to attack the Minns Labor government for a lack of focus on women, and as federal Liberal leader Sussan Ley challenged the party’s state divisions to adopt quotas or other measures to get more women to join.
