NSW Labor leader steps aside to save Shorten embarrassment

The NSW Labor Leader who led the party to an embarrassing election loss will temporarily step aside to avoid being a distraction for the federal Labor campaign.

As the Coalition government clinched a parliamentary majority of at least one seat, Labor's Michael Daley handed over power to his deputy and vowed to contest a vote for leader after the federal election.
