The race for digital infrastructure jobs in Australia is heating up, with NSW approving the southern hemisphere’s largest data centre before a series of major federal initiatives to encourage growth in the sector.
NSW Planning Minister Paul Scully on Friday announced the approval of CDC’s $3.1 billion data centre campus at Marsden Park, in Sydney’s north-west. It comes a day after the Victorian premier, Jacinta Allan, vowed her government would be “ruthless” about pursuing data-centre jobs.
