Wilson ousts Daniel, gives Liberals sliver of hope against teals

Tim Wilson has ousted Zoe Daniel from her prized Melbourne seat, and in Sydney, the Liberals were on track for a second claw-back victory against a teal independent, even as the Climate 200 group flagged it would broaden its scope and bankroll more candidates in Labor territory.

Counting of postal votes on Tuesday brought former Goldstein MP Wilson and Gisele Kapterian, the Liberal candidate for the seat of Bradfield on Sydney’s north shore, back from the brink of defeat.
