Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Treasurer Jim Chalmers are under growing pressure to spend money.

Ahead of the release of Tuesday’s federal budget, the calls are coming from every direction for more spending on defence, welfare, housing affordability and the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
