Australia’s 28th governor-general Sam Mostyn has called for an “unstinting focus on kindness, care and respect”, warning contemporary challenges are straining the country’s social fabric.
Sworn in as King Charles III’s representative on Monday, the business leader told a ceremony at Parliament House that younger Australians were concerned they might miss out on benefits enjoyed by previous generations.
