Paul Bassat says Israelis are shocked by what’s happening in Australia

Paul Bassat is at the office of his venture capital firm Square Peg in Tel Aviv, and says the issue everyone wants to talk to him about in Israel is rising antisemitism in Australia.

“Their sense of concern is palpable,” Bassat told The Australian Financial Review on Monday. “The change that has occurred in Australia since the horrific attacks on October 7 is as shocking to Israelis as it is to Australian Jews.”
