Victoria still waiting on federal approval for quarantine facility
The Victorian government is waiting for its federal counterpart to give its dedicated quarantine facility proposal the tick of approval before proceeding, though there are signs the green light will come within days.
The purpose-built quarantine facility for Melbourne, which will supplement hotel quarantine, has stalled at the Commonwealth approval stage for weeks as the two governments reportedly negotiate who foots the bill for its construction.
