‘Victoria’s COVID taxes will hit family businesses’
Leading chief executives have hit back at Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews’ claim that extracting $3.9 billion from businesses with payrolls above $10 million will hit “very big business”, claiming it will also hurt local and family businesses.
Business said the wages bill could equate to fewer than 100 staff and covered medium-sized and family business, growing start-ups and even builders and other blue-collar businesses.
