Vaccine rollout might not be enough to restart international travel
The growing pace of COVID-19 vaccine rollouts around the world might not be enough for Australia to restart international travel this year, with the federal government warning borders could remain closed until 2022.
Health Department boss Brendan Murphy on Monday described the arrival of vaccines as "light at the end of the tunnel" but said authorities remained concerned about ongoing transmission risk from international travellers even after they had received the drugs.
