‘Unworkable’: Tasmania heads to the polls for March 23 election

Tasmanian voters will go to the polls on March 23 after Australia’s last remaining Liberal premier declared that minority government had become unworkable and bad for the state.
Liberal Jeremy Rockliff – who has governed without a majority in parliament since May – confirmed the election date on Wednesday after co-operation with two MPs who defected from his party broke down.
