New Tasmanian Premier pledges ‘government with heart’

Jeremy Rockliff was elevated to the post of Tasmania’s 47th Premier on Friday, sworn in to the top job after the shock resignation of Peter Gutwein this week.
The former deputy premier and 20-year veteran of Tasmanian politics was elected unopposed by Liberal Party MPs, along with his new deputy leader Michael Ferguson.
