Unsteady world must re-embrace Bretton-Woods: Frydenberg

Developed and emerging nations must reclaim the spirit of the 1944 Bretton-Woods compact in order to combat rising protectionism, tensions between the great powers and other challenges, Treasurer Josh Frydenberg says.

Mr Frydenberg says Australia, with its strong ties to major powers and its adherence to an open economy and a rules-based order, was well positioned to play a lead role.
