Western Australia’s largest container port is expected to grind to a halt next week as a small group of key Fremantle Port workers walk off the job for 48 hours over a months-long pay dispute.

The Australian Maritime Officers Union WA informed Fremantle Port on Tuesday afternoon its members, who include pilot boat operators and vessel traffic service officers, would stop work from 5.30am on Sunday after negotiations broke down.
