Gough Whitlam was “pissed off that the whole of his government would be judged” over its sensational November 11, 1975, sacking by governor-general Sir John Kerr, his son, Tony Whitlam, has revealed.
A former Federal Court judge and Labor MP, Tony Whitlam said his father “was conscious” of the Dismissal “having been a singular constitutional event” but he “never harped on about it” in conversations with family members.
