Tony Abbott dismisses leadership speculation as ‘nonsense’

Prime Minister Tony Abbott insists his government has a solid record of achievement and that he’ll remain leader, despite some problem getting legislation through the Senate.

Prime Minister Tony Abbott has been forced to defend his leadership following reports of backbench discontent and a talkback radio caller who described him as the “world’s worst salesman".

Appearing on Victorian radio, Mr Abbott said voters were entitled to criticise his performance but should judge the government on its record.
