A man died in floodwaters in Sydney’s inner west on Sunday and thousands of people were told to leave their homes as authorities warned a dangerous weather event would escalate.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued major flood warnings for the Hawkesbury, Nepean and Colo rivers in NSW, as heavy rainfall and strong winds continues across large parts of the state.
