Seconds after announcing her resignation from the Greens, Lidia Thorpe walked into her office, took off her jacket, kicked off her shoes and said: “thank God that’s f--king over”.

Safe to say, the feeling among her now former colleagues was mutual. The government, however, will have concerns.
