Gladys Berejiklian breached public trust and engaged in corrupt conduct ICAC said
She failed to alert ICAC to suspicions her secret lover, Daryl Maguire, was corrupt
And she worked to shore up grants without disclosing the local MP was her boyfriend
Despite the findings, ICAC did not recommend further action for Berejiklian
But prosecutors should consider pursuing Maguire and two others, ICAC said
Former NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian and disgraced former Liberal MP Daryl Maguire have been found to have engaged in serious corrupt conduct by the state’s corruption watchdog.
More than 18 months after Ms Berejiklian quit as NSW premier amid an investigation into her years-long, secret relationship with a disgraced Liberal MP, the Independent Commission Against Corruption handed down its report on Thursday morning.
