Sex predators will be proactively drummed out of the military as part of a major overhaul of how Defence deals with sexual violence and misconduct, as the Albanese government vows to eradicate high suicide rates among serving personnel and veterans.
Middle-ranking commanders will also be required to undertake training on managing incidences of sexual misconduct, while officers will have their emotional intelligence tested before consideration for promotion, as the government agrees to most key findings of the damning royal commission into defence and veteran suicide.
