Lawyers for Brittany Higgins say claims she cast former minister Linda Reynolds as a villain in a fairytale are “harassing and retraumatising”, as they opened the defence arguments in the Liberal MP’s defamation case against her former staffer.
The WA Supreme Court also heard Senator Reynolds had a “mountain of information” to deduce that Ms Higgins had been sexually assaulted in the minister’s Parliament House office before when she claims she learned of the alleged rape.
