Regulators allowed to directly remove dangerous eBay listings
Online marketplace eBay is allowing trusted Australian regulators to directly take down listings from its online market where regulators have evidence of a risk to consumer safety.
These include novelty cigarette lighters, mini jelly cups containing konjac, chewing tobacco and snuffs, yo-yo water balls and tinted headlight covers as well as goods that do not comply with Australian safety standards such as folding cots, hot water bottles, bean bags and quad bikes.
