PwC scandal casts secrecy shadow over Commonwealth Games inquiry

It only took a couple of minutes to realise that a Senate inquiry into the Victorian government’s decision to cancel the 2026 Commonwealth Games would soon descend into a farce of confidentiality and secrecy.
All involved were soon pointing to the recent PwC scandal and other related legal and regulatory obligations to declare there was little or nothing they could add, leaving the public mired in the dark.
