The federal Labor Party received more than $1.3 million in donations last financial year but made at least five times that from its secretive pay-for-access subscription program for executives and lobbyists.
The Liberal Party similarly recorded about $1.2 million in donations to the federal division on its 2023-24 disclosures to the Australian Electoral Commission released on Monday, but is estimated to have made at least double that from its paid access subscription program.
