Anthony Albanese has confirmed he is prepared to visit China without winning any further concessions from Beijing, saying he will argue about unresolved issues directly with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

In a speech to the Australian Industry Group on Monday night, the prime minister took credit for the recent decisions by Beijing to lift the punitive tariffs on Australian barley, and to restore Australia to the list of group travel destinations for Chinese travellers.
