Scott Morrison is right when he says he has had “more women in my cabinet than any other prime minister ever has before”, but he is referring to his first post-election cabinet, not his current inner circle.
After winning the 2019 federal election, Mr Morrison unveiled a cabinet that had a record seven women out of a group of 23 and a record high proportion of women at 30.4 per cent.
