War crimes investigator and NSW judge Paul Brereton will become the founding boss of Australia’s new National Anti-Corruption Commission in the middle of the year, an appointment the federal government says will set the integrity body up for success.
Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus recommended Justice Brereton’s appointment to the role after a merit-based selection process.
