Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has vowed to listen to West Australian business on his first trip to the mining state after he was forced to break up his government’s unpopular Nature Positive reforms, as pollsters warn Labor is bleeding votes in key Perth seats.

In his 20th visit to Perth since his 2022 election victory, Mr Albanese said he held constructive discussions with WA business leaders on Wednesday and dismissed suggestions his government’s now-delayed environmental reforms could cost Labor seats at the next election.
