NT chief at odds with Albanese over live animal export ban

Northern Territory Labor Chief Minister Natasha Fyles says she does not support banning the live animal trade, putting her at odds with the Albanese government and its plans to shut down sheep exports to the Middle East.

Speaking at the National Press Club on Tuesday, Ms Fyles also said she had not seen any indications that uncertainty over the Port of Darwin was hampering the port’s Chinese owner from expanding the facility, despite Beijing’s frustrations.
