Anthony Albanese’s new ministry has come out swinging: Murray Watt cited a CFMEU clean-out as his number one priority, Clare O’Neil refused to yield to the Greens on housing, and Tony Burke headed to Indonesia to talk tough on people smuggling.

Senator Watt, who replaced Mr Burke as Workplace Relations Minister in Sunday’s ministerial reshuffle, told The Australian Financial Review he spent his first day in the job being briefed on moves to put the union’s east coast divisions into administration.
